The original piece was created with pencil on canvas. It is varnished and there are a few flowers stuck to it as well.
Falling up ouch, I created this art piece to symbolize the importance of self-respect when it comes to relationships, and how sometimes we will have to hold ourselves and feel sad for letting go of somebody we deeply care in order to keep our self-respect.
Its easy to brush things off or try to concentrate on the flowery things when it comes to somebody you really care about or love.
In this case I had to say bye to somebody I really cared about and even thought I loved.
The questions i had to ask myself were in these moments were “Can I respect myself if I …. Or can I respect myself if I…” , and I decided to go with the one that made me answer yes.
So i created this art piece with intention to portray how it felt. Alone, feeling like i was falling falling , but I'm falling up, rising with ease like a balloon. I hope you dig it.
